Hundreds of books on personal growth and career or business success are published every year. The best of these sell millions of copies in a variety of languages. Clearly, we all want to know how to live well and thrive in our personal and professional lives.
Yet, since we keep buying more of these books, not to mention taking classes or watching videos on related subjects, it would seem that there are no definitive answers to the biggest problems of life. But that’s not true. There are good and simple answers, but they lie hidden behind the tangle of our psychological biases, our culturally-patterned behaviors and the mixed messages of a society that profits from our ignorance.
