Let me first start with my own simple definition of “MIND PRODUCTIVITY” . Mind Productivity simply means how effectively your mind is focused on whatever is at hand. As discussed in the last blog, human brain ( I am interchangeably using mind and brain here even though both are different) generates thousands of thoughts every day. Because of this our minds constantly cluttered with the thoughts. On top of it, some where read recently, our brain is bombarded with 7 times MORE stimulus/information than what our grandparents received. This just means we can get easily distracted 7 times more.
Distraction is only one killer of the mind productivity. There are many hidden killers which most of us are not even aware. Top rated are – comparing your self with others, ego, anger, upset, thinking about what others thinking about YOU, etc. Take any of your recent incidents/examples where you have encountered with any of these negative emotions. What was your mind productivity when you are in such state of emotions. Just these negative emotions can easily days out of your business. Can you imagine your productivity while you are thinking back of your mind what other people thinking about you??
of late, I have seen many many examples from multiple people how bad the mind productivity has been. In some cases, the unfortunate thing is they were thinking they are working lot longer (called hard work) but with insignificant output.
Caution: Physical presence does not have any relation with actual productivity
Overall, the mind productivity is getting damaged significantly and rapidly !!. We will look into different BOOSTERs and BLOCKERs of this Mind Productivity in the next lesson.
